We've all been to salons where the stylists look like they're from another planet and act like they're doing you a favor letting you sit in their chair. And when they're done, you walk out feeling self conscious because you hate the way you look, and frustrated because you didn't have the nerve to speak up.
But the minute you arrive at Hairsay, you know you've found some place special. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. Val has assembled an amazing group of professionals who are not only skilled at what they do, but know just how to bring out the sparkle in their clients.
Beginning with the smile that greets you when you walk through the door, every member of the staff lets you know that the focus is on making you feel beautiful – inside and out. It’s nice to be called by name, asked if I’d like anything to drink or read while I’m waiting for my process to finish, and then thanked for allowing them to work on my hair. I know that at Hairsay, I’m valued not only as a client, but as an individual and this personal touch makes all the difference.
Val’s positive outlook and dedication to his craft is evident in every aspect of the salon. He has created a place where cutting edge style and creativity are encouraged without losing sight of the person in the chair.

Before I came to. Hairsay salon my hair was dry and brittle. Sue told me to try the keratin treatment which she said was a natural product that would smooth hair. I've been having, this treatment done and it has made my hair shiny, smooth and manageable. Sue always gives me a great cut and color and is a pleasure to deal with.

I have been a client of Hairsay and Val over 4 years. My hair has never been in better condition then it is now. I color it about every four weeks but through the products he uses and the recommended home products it looks terrific. His prices are fair especially if you have every gone to a salon in Manhattan . Hairsay is current in trends and discuss options instead of just doing the most expensive service. Since my first visit I never felt rushed or ignored during my visit no matter how busy the salon. He doesn't overbook. I'd be very comfortable recommending Hairsay to anyone.

Hairsay Salon is an upscale salon with good prices and a great neighborhood feel! I have been a customer for years and the service that you recieve from Hairsay is great start to finish. Everyone is so friendly and accomodating. I have never had an issue with a bad cut, color, or up do. I used to live near the salon, and now that I live in Melville I still believe it is well worth the drive to get the satifaction and service from Hairsay.

I have been going to Hairsay for 8 years and I have loved every minute of it. In those 8 years they have made so many changes to the salon to make your salon experience even more pleasant. The interior looks like something out of a high-priced New York city salon...gorgeous. The staff is so nice and always make you feel at home, offering you coffee or a magazine and they always greet you with a smile. It's that personal service that keeps me coming back, oh and the fact that my hair has never looked so good. Finally, after many years of searching, I found a place that does my hair to perfection and I'm never leaving.

I have been coming to Hairsay for the past 8 years...I drive from Astoria, Queens to get my hair done from the best hairdresser I know...Joanne P. She is the best at what she does, a true hair scientist and I have the most absolute trust in her! The receptionists are very friendly and welcoming...shout out to Jessie & Vicky! This a salon that I would recommend to everyone!

I have been coming to Hairsay for years and have nothing but great things to say about the place. Short summary review- I always see Val, who is now the owner, and he's AMAZING. Always has suggestions, and never minded when I was too chicken to not try it. Always a great cut, staff is always friendly. I love it here.
Now, extended review, after my first visit with Val all those years ago I knew I was never going back to my old salon. He did a great job, paid attention and made sure it was perfect. I have never had a bad haircut here. I used to come here before Val was the owner and I've received the same great service all these years from him. I've asked for advice more times than I can remember and sometimes I take it, sometimes I just ask for a trim. Always love how it looks. I have done the same old thing for years and finally let Val give me a BIG cut - so big I was able to donate my hair. It was AMAZING. Val also cuts my mom's hair and has always done a beutiful job. I have had up-dos by April and they have always been beautiful. I love the new remodel they did too.
I started taking my mother-in-law here and she loves Yvette, she also saw Val and Paul when Yvette wasn't available as she only works a few days- great cuts each time. My MIL is, for lack of a better term, thrifty, and she's an immigrant and used to go to a local salon run by people she can talk to in her native language. Once she came here she never looked back, and this is a significant step up in price for her. She doesn't even blink at the cost, and that's saying something!!
Finally, I used to go to another salon in Floral Park and found the attitudes of the staff to be "I'm so cool bc I work in a salon". That is NOT the case with Hairsay. Always friendly, offering drinks and smiling. I've never had rude service here and I've been here on busy and quiet days. I highly recommend this salon. you can tell the staff is happy too and enjoy working here- which matters to me. I live in Floral Park and gladly go out of my way for Val and Hairsay!

Just left hairsay and I must say that val is a genius..the whole hairsay crew is amazing and I def recommend the salon...not only r they great at what they do but they also make you feel like u still have a say in ur sense of style...unlike other salons that would make suggestions and u end up hating them for it..so if ur looking for a day to treat urself and come out satisfied then just visit hairsay and I guarentee u will leave happy :)

I've been going to Hairsay since 1999 - the salon has recently undergone a makeover and is just as great as before. The staff is friendly and courteous - I've never had a bad experience! Val does an amazing job on my hair and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

My experience at Hairsay was AMAZING I got a great haircut by Joana . I happened to call the day ahead and had no problem getting an appt. Not only was the receptionist very friendly on the phone but she was even nicer in person. I hung up and was very exicet for my haircut the next day. I was greated with smiles, refreshements and great personalities,by Jessie the receptionist when it was my time get my hair washed Jessie did my shampoo and did a great job, even though it wasen't her job.In all Hairsay who I stopped going to a long time ago because of their old staff. Has gotten a new and improved staff everyone was extra friendly and that is the reason why I will make this make new home I loved it. Being in the customer service business myself I got to say that the skills that Hairsays front desk and stylist have are amazing .Thank you Jessie for making it a great experience.

I recently visited Hairsay Nail & Spa and got a new set of permanent french done with a pedicure, and absolutely fell in love with the place. They are very clean, friendly, and make you feel right at home. They did an amazing job on my nails & toes. I'm definantly going back.
