Best in Beauty at the Emmys: Blurred Cerulean Lines on Emily Ratajkowski

We adored Emily Ratajkowski’s look on the red-carpet.  She graced the 68th Annual Emmys red carpet Sunday in a beautiful cobalt blue Zac Posen gown, and an equally sultry jewel-toned gaze.

In what is a vibrant and bold iteration of a classic cat-eye, the stunning model and actress skipped the basic black liner and let shades of cobalt and teal steal the show with the shadow extending out as her wings.

The beauty theme this year is a polished take on a beachy, summery style.  Her teal cat eye gave her an aquatic cool look.  The actress and model’s mermaid-inspired makeup was created by celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo, who coated her lids in a wash of navy and cerulean-hued eyeshadows from Lorac taking inspiration from her dress.  We love how the color has a softness but still retains a very clean and angled shape. Hung also used a lighter pearlescent shadow toward Emily’s tear ducts and gradually darkened the shadows toward the outer corners to create a dramatic effect.

Emily Ratajkowski’s eye-makeup definitely made her one of the best beauty stars on the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet.  The rest of her look was super sleek – from her simple, center-parted updo (done by Hollywood hairstylist Christian Wood) to her glowing, healthy skin and neutral, beige-hued lip.  These are the products you’ll need to re-create Emily’s stunning red carpet look:  Lorac Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in Navy ($20) and Lorac Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in Navy and Aqua ($20 each), Lorac PRO Palette 2 ($44), and Lorac PRO Palette 3 ($44).
