Ooh La-La-Land! Best Beauty and Hair at the Oscars.

There was no shortage of stunners on the red carpet during the Academy Awards!  Four ladies who caught our eye as best in the beauty and hair department were Supermodel Karli Kloss, Star Trek Actress Sofia Boutella, Oscar Winner Emma Stone and Olivia Culpo.

We start with Karli Kloss, who presented a fresh, low maintenance look with bright orange lips as the main focus.  It was a retro 60’s glam make-up look, with black eyeliner and lashes with a pretty, tangerine pout!  Her warm peachy cheeks gave her a healthy glow and enhanced her flawless, pale porcelain skin.  Her hair was glam in a side part and loose wavy curls like a modern-day Veronica Lake.  Her lipstick shade matches this one by Lancome, and is also available at Sephora.  This pretty shade is a wonderful way to announce the arrival of spring!

Sofia Boutella has that exotic, sexy look that most women would kill to have.  On the red-carpet she rocked a natural make-up look with thick brows, midnight black eyeliner (with a bold application), black mascara and a neutral beige eye shadow.  Her skin was clean and fresh, while her cheekbones were accented with a pale pink blush.  She completed the look, as Karli did, with an orange lipstick, albeit in a paler, glossier shade.  Her of-the-moment micro-bangs framed this look perfectly and her black raven-hued hair was styled smooth, long and glossy!

Olivia Culpo was absolutely breathtaking in smokey lavender eyes.  Bright violet shadow encircled her chocolate brown eyes, along with dark eyeliner, and lush lashes complimenting her dewy, bronzed skin.  She completed the look with a sexy neutral lip which was lined with a taupe/brown hue matching her skin tone and with pale beige cream lipstick in the center.  The make-up artist was none other than Sir John (also  BeyoncĂ©’s makeup artist), and he captured the look on Instagram.  He also added in a press release from L’OrĂ©al Paris. “We decided to go for a lavender wash on the eyes, nude lips and glowing skin to complement Olivia’s vintage-inspired dress,” he said. “I would call this look Ice Princess meets Great Gatsby.”  Sir John used Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in Shady Violet and Colour Riche Pocket Palette in Violet Amour. He applied the purple shades around her eyes, adding the lighter shade to the lower lash line.  That flawless neutral lip is Colour Riche Lip Liner in Au Naturale, drawn all over her pout. It is topped with Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in Bare Attraction.

As for her hairstyle: her sleek ponytail was created by stylist Justine Marjan, who is known for wrapping up-dos with fabric and cloth.  It looks like this was also added to her hair, and it’s a cool alternative for rubber bands.  Her wet-look, glossy side-swept bangs were held in place by Tresemme products.  Tres Chic!

We save the best for last!  Oscar winner Emma Stone, illuminated the red-carpet in her gold lace gown by Givenchy, the first time an actress has won wearing this legendary designer since fashion icon and GIvenchy muse Audrey Hepburn!  And she looked every inch, an old Hollywood starlet with her side swept, bouncy, barrel-curled red hair and bright orange-red lips!  Ooh La La -Land!
