The Festival de Cannes is Europe’s biggest red carpet event! All of the world’s most glamorous stars converge upon this pretty postcard town in southern France to celebrate film, fashion, beauty, jewelry and all things fabulous! We adore the beauty and hair looks this year. Here are our top picks.
We start with Bella Hadid who is making headlines today for wearing a see-through gown at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc for the 24th edition of amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS gala. The 20-year-old model arrived on the red carpet on Thursday at the Cannes Film Festival, wearing a dress by Ralph & Russo which appeared to be little more than a sheer draping of see-through, diamond/crystal-embellished fabric with what looked like nude, over-sized granny panties underneath! Although her dress surely got most of the focus of the night, her skin and makeup were also attention grabbing in their exquisiteness. On top of what appeared to be a sun-kissed tan, she wore a light foundation with highlighter on her cheekbones and a dab of white shimmer in the corner of her eyes. Her eyes were also lined with a black liner on her top lash line and brown liner on her bottom lashes. A brown eye shadow was applied to her creases and her eyelids were brushed with a highlighter as well. Bella’s lips were a deep berry pink and her cheekbones were contoured with dark bronzer as a blush. Her hair was tied up in a high, tight bun with pieces of hair jotting out. Che Bella!
Our next beauty is Victoria’s secret model Jasmine Tookes who added new meaning to the term understated elegance. Her makeup was soft, yet defined, natural, yet striking… Her lashes went on for miles and her black eyeliner was precise with a thicker line on top that extended to a cat-eye. Her lips were a natural mauve and brows were beautifully arched and darkened. Her lightly highlighted locks were tied back in a loose bun framing her pretty, exotic features.
And last, but not least, the beautiful Victoria’s Secret Swedish supermodel Elsa Hosk who could have easily inspired the movie Frozen, turned heads with her soft, flowing, old Hollywood waves and an exaggerated cat-eye flick. She used pink eye shadow on her crease, with pink lipstick to match!
